In Japan, finding Halal products has become easier in recent years, but not all of everyday essential products.

Also, if you are not living near a Halal shop, not only you are going to spend a considerable amount of time, but also pay for transportation every time you need to buy something.

Having free time for shopping and transportation cost, are not the only obstacles that Muslims living in Japan have; especially newcomers may spend hours in supermarkets reading foods’ labels to make sure they do not contain Haram ingredients.

Halal Products Sold On Rakuten Global Market

Nowadays, many small businesses import variety of Halal products and distribute in their local market. Many people have no idea that their favorite food or what they need is sold in different city, or sometimes in the same city where they live, just few train stations away.

For many people usually shopping online would be a better choice than going to a shop, considering the cost of transportation and also the time spent, not to mention some businesses do not have physical shop and only sell online.

To make the living easier for Muslims, Halal In Japan has been listing available Halal products sold on Rakuten by different stores, in one place, making shopping as easy as it can get for the community.

Note: There are two kinds of link on our lists; some with price and others without price. The links with price are products that only are sold by certain shops. The links without price are products that are sold by more than one store, and it is connected to the Rakuten Search which will find the lowest price available, including prices from other stores presented below the offer.

One of the advantages of shopping on Rakuten is that most of the shops on Rakuten ship internationally as well, and if  in case the one you are buying from is not, you can always use Rakuten Global Express overseas delivery services. This service is convenient if you are shopping from overseas, or you are living in Japan and you'd like to send souvenirs to friends and family.

The sellers on Rakuten occasionally offer discounts, and the discount is announced on the seller’s page on Rakuten, not on our website. So, use the links on our lists and regularly visit the seller’s page of your favorite products if you want to take advantage of the occasional offered discounts.

When you shop on Rakuten, depending on the store policy, size and the weight of the ordered good(s), the postage normally starts from 540 yen. Most shops ship the package for free if the order price reaches to a certain level. The free shipment service in many cases is offered if you purchase as little as 2,000 yen. You can see examples on pages of Instant Noodles list, Muslim’s Hijab list, and Cosmetics list.

Shopping On Rakuten Without Credit Card

There was a time that you could make a purchase online if only you had a credit card. That’s not the case anymore. For shopping on Rakuten you can buy and use a prepaid Rakuten Point Gift Card, which is sold in number of Convenience Stores, Drug Stores or many other retail stores.

Majority of shops on Rakuten also accept major credit cards, PayPal, Alipay, Bank Transfers and some even offer Cash on Delivery. It takes a few minutes to Create A Rakuten Account, choose your preferred Payment Method and start shopping.

Why Choose Rakuten

Many of the stores on shopping platforms like Rakuten or Amazon are selling the same products in Japanese market; they only compete for providing better services. So far most of them are offering the same kind of standard services as well.

Generally, the reason for choosing to live in a country is because you like something about the place. One way to help to preserve the place as it is, or to make it better, is to support the local businesses by buying from them or using the services they offer.

Rakuten Ichiba is the largest e-commerce sites in Japan and among the world's largest by sales. The company also operates Japan's biggest Internet bank. They must have pretty good services!
