List of Kanji for Haram Ingredients

11/26/2018

In Muslim-majority countries, we can find halal food so easily; in restaurants, street foods, and many other places by default.

But here in Japan it’s different; Pork, Khamr, and many other forbidden foods for Muslims are generally consumed here. So we need to be extra selective and careful to find foods that we can consume.

List of Kanji for Haram and Doubted Ingredients in Japan
Below is the list of Haram and doubted ingredients based on the analysis of our Muslim brothers and sisters who had lived in japan for years. For the main references, you can see in here:

  • Al Maeda: 3
  • Al Baqara: 172-173
  • Al Anaam: 145
  • Al Maeda: 90
  • Hadith Muslim, Book of Drinks, 4956-4960
