Seishun 18 KippuThe Seishun 18 ticket is a hop-on, hop-off ticket for using non-reserved seats in ordinary cars on local or rapid trains on all JR lines around Japan. It is available for everyone of all ages and regardless of nationality, including Japanese as well as foreign tourists and foreign residents of Japan. You need good timing and plenty of time on your hands to use them. The price for the Seishun 18 is the same for adults and children. You can purchase this pass in advance at JR Ticket Offices (Midori-no-Madoguchi), JR EAST Travel Service Centers, and some Reserved Seat Ticket Vending Machines at major JR East stations. The unlimited rides also include use of the JR West Miyajima Ferry for travel from the mainland to the island of Miyajima. For more information, visit the East Japan Railway Company website. As a foreigner, you can also opt for the Japan Bus Pass, which offers discounted bus travel all across the WILLER Highway Bus network.
